Last weekend we took our first drive into the Rocky Mountains. We have admired them from afar since moving to Colorado a few weeks ago- driving through them though, was a different thing entirely.
We exited a tunnel that acts as the gateway to the Rockies, to find this:
Initially, my husband Kris and I were unimpressed. “I thought it would be more grand” I said. “Me too” answered Kris “I expected to at least have my breath paused.”
90 minutes down the road, we came across this:
The Rocky Mountains delivered.
We spent the days covered in snow, and the afternoons relaxing in the Natural Hot Springs:
Steamboat Springs, Colorado is a magical place; far better than we envisioned.
