Today I want to offer a prayer for babies. Born and unborn, new and not so new.
I pray that their transition to the world is made as easy as possible and that they feel their parents desire to provide them with love, warmth and security. Even though we are completely untaught.
That these new little lives somehow understand that we are trying to get to know them as quickly as we can. In order to make them happier and more comfortable.
I pray that they are healthy and happy and blessed with lots of people who love them and take good care of them.
If they are faced with a health challenge, I pray that the medical staff who cares for them feels His hands on theirs, and that mom and dad feel His arms around them.
I pray that these babies know the comfort of their mother and the support of their father, and that they grow into happy, compassionate and loving adults.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
